How it helps

When a team works through what divides it, the result shows up in three places.

First, in the work. The team gets the job done. Projects that had stalled start moving, and the collaboration the company was paying for begins to deliver. This is the reason a company brings me in.

Second, in the people. Colleagues come to enjoy the work more. There is less friction to push through, and more of the satisfaction that comes from a team that works. That is good for the people doing it.

Third, in how they see each other. When colleagues understand each other as human beings, the working relationship grows stronger. After a career spent on exactly that, it is the part I value most.
